A steering wheel clockspring (contact ring) is an electrical component designed to transmit signals between the rotating steering wheel and the vehicle electronics. It enables proper operation of the airbag, steering wheel buttons, horn, multimedia controls, cruise control, and other steering-related functions.
The clockspring is located beneath the steering wheel inside the steering column housing and works together with the airbag control unit, steering buttons, steering angle sensor, body electronics module, and vehicle wiring system.
A faulty clockspring may cause airbag warning lights, non-working steering wheel controls, horn failure, steering angle sensor errors, safety system deactivation, or clicking noises while turning the wheel.
Our catalog includes steering wheel clocksprings for many vehicle brands. Available options include genuine factory steering electronics, reliable aftermarket replacements, and tested used units without ribbon or housing damage. Versions with steering angle sensors, multifunction steering support, heated steering compatibility, and different electronic configurations are available.
Used parts are inspected for ribbon integrity, absence of breaks, connector condition, housing state, and signs of tampering.
Selection is available by VIN number, steering wheel type, electronic configuration, part number, and vehicle year. Replacing a faulty clockspring restores proper airbag function, steering controls, and vehicle safety systems.
