DISTANCE RADAR SENSOR. The distance radar sensor is a component of modern driver assistance and active safety systems designed to measure the distance to objects located in front of the vehicle. The sensor is used in adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and other advanced driver assistance systems. It is typically installed behind the front grille or integrated into the front bumper.
