MAF SENSOR / MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR

A mass air flow sensor (MAF sensor) is an engine management component designed to measure the volume of air entering the intake system. It sends data to the engine control unit, allowing precise fuel delivery and ensuring proper engine operation.

The MAF sensor is installed in the intake system between the air filter housing and the throttle body or turbocharger. It works together with the ECU, intake air temperature sensor, throttle body, and fuel injection system. Its accuracy directly affects fuel consumption, engine power, idle stability, and emissions.
